The somewhat daunting upload screen.

 Here is a step-by-step guide to adding a creation on to the Lego Star Wars Gallery.

For ImagesEdit

  1. Take your picture. Make sure it is related to Star Wars and Lego.
  2. Upload your pictures onto your computer. This process varies with different computers and cameras. Remember to make sure your picture has either a .gif, .jpg, .jpeg, or .png for the file extension.
  3. Upload the picture to the Lego Star Wars gallery. Click the Upload Image slot, then browse your computer files and find your picture. Click upload.
  4. Your picture should show up in the window.
  5. Type a title, description, and tags.
  6. Click Submit.
  7. Wait for moderation.

For LDD (LEGO Digital Designer)Edit

  1. Click "Upload a File" 
  2. Select the .lxf file from your computers "documents" (standard storage space for LDD creations)
  3. Add description and tags in their appropriate spot
  4. Click "Submit"
  5. Wait for moderation

For MoviesEdit

If you wish to upload a movie to the gallery, here are the steps.

  1. Make your movie. (See Making A Stopmotion)
  2.  Once you've finished, click the Upload A File slot.
  3.  Browse your computer and find your movie.
  4. Wait for your movie to be uploaded. (Depending on file size, it may take a while).
  5. If it is a success, you will see a "wmv.", "jpeg." or "avi." (depending on what your movie was saved in) tab with a blue Lego brick in it.
  6. Type a title, description, and tags.
  7. Hit submit.
  8. Wait for moderation.

For MiniseriesEdit

There are quite a few ways to upload a miniseries to the gallery.

The First WayEdit

  1. Take a title pic for your miniseries. Make it eye catching.
  2. Write/ type your series. Most users do this directly on the computer, but certain users make written drafts first.
  3. Once your story has been typed on a Word Document Program, copy and paste into the creation description spot.
  4. Add your picture and tags.
  5. Hit submit.
  6. Wait for moderation.

The Second WayEdit

  1. Type your series straght into the descritption box.
  2. Follow steps 4, 5, and 6 listed above.

The Third WayEdit

In response to the new 2013 layout of the gallery, one user decided to put the contents of his story in the pictures.

  1. Type your series, it is recommended to do this on a Word Document Program.
  2. Open paint.
  3. After creating a text box, Copy and paste the series from the document to the text box in paint.
  4. Adjust the font, font size, and color to your preferences.
  5. Save the pictures on paint.
  6. Add your pictures with the your series on them, add tags, title, etc.
  7. Hit submit.
  8. Wait for moderation.


If your picture or stopmotion won't upload, read the red error messages to find out what went wrong.
